Alan Monroe

For me, stars are more than distant suns. I draw inspiration from Diné teachings that connect the heavens with life on Earth, and from generations of observing celestial cycles to understand the seasons. These traditions are part of a living cultural inheritance that I value alongside modern astronomy. Most evenings, you’ll find me setting up my Ritchey–Chrétien telescope beside my pickup, getting ready to photograph faint galaxies or share the eyepiece with someone discovering the night sky.
